What are you currently reading and why?
A:
Im reading Inkheart. To me, it's a modern classic. It's just written so well! This is my 6th time reading it and I love the characters and well...the whole plot! Cornelia Funke is a masterful writer and I love this book. The story is about reading things out of books. When the main character, Mo, reads someone out, his loved wife goes into the story. Of course he has to save her, but encounters many obstacles on the way: Both from the book, and Inside of him. Can he get his wife out and protect his daughter, Meggie, at the same time? This book is riveting and keeps the pages turning through the whole book. - Mary Jane Cole, Layton Utah.

Artemis Fowl. It is an excellent young adult book. I am rereading it so that I can read the new one: The Atlantis Complex.- Josh Robinson.
A:
Ghost Wars by Steve Coll - an account of the CIA, Afghanistan, and Bin Laden from the Soviet invasion to September 10, 2001 - fascinating! - Anita Mortimer.

I am rereading Anne Frank: the Diary of a Young Girl. It has been many years since I read it, and it is different from the movie or play. I ponder the need for absolute silence all day long, and complete trust in the helpers. The self-control would be very hard to achieve, yet Anne is very candid in her record of her life during that period of time. I enjoyed reading Hunger Games, but it felt awkward to try and tell others about the premise of the story. - Pat Lowe.

Also, recently finished reading "The Maze Runne"r and "The Scorch Trials" by James Dashner and can't wait for the final book in the trilogy "Dark Cure" to come out. And if you have not read "Room" by Emma Donoghue or "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak you are missing some great reading. I hope more people add to this area. - Anita Mortimer

I am actually reading 2 books right now, One is Pride and Prejudice and that’s just because my Honors English needs me to read it. The second book that I am reading is actually the hunger games, I think it is a considerably better book then Pride and Prejudice is reason for it is that PaP was written long ago and The Hunger Games is more recent. I enjoy both books. - Taylor Davidson

I am reading The Lost Hero, By Rick Riordan. I chose this book becuase I thought it looked like the Percy Jackson type of book. I enjoyed that series and wanted something that could provide and excellent read with exctiement and adventure. This book, The Lost Hero, immediately captures your attention and sends you face to face with adventure and mystery. You meet Jason, Piper, and Leo, three demigods who are out to save the world. Jason doesn’t know who he is or why he is at Camp Half-Blood. He knows he’s been on quests before but doesn’t quite remember when. Piper is a lovely Native American girl who is the daughter of Tristan Mclean, a famous actor. She has to make the decision of saving her father or helping her friends. Leo is the kid who can do anything with his hands. He learns that he holds a powerful gift that can destroy the world. They all come together to save Camp Half-Blood and the rest of the world. It is very similar to the Percy Jackson series, but…different. It is a lot longer and packed with twice the excitement. I can’t wait for the next book, Son of Neptune, to come out. –Kylie Poulson.
